| 1st Lt. AAF Spent time in B24s but wound up when overseas i B17s at Fogia Italy with the301st Bomb Group of the 15th air Force. Where he flew missions to Austria Hungary and the Ploesti Oil fields. Then he and 9 other combat pilots were transferred to the Eighth Air Force in England where he flew the balance of his missions with a total of 32 awarded the DFC | |||
