| The Missing
Airman Monument was an inspiration of our member Lee Stanley in respect
for his memory of an air combat comrade who was lost, in combat, off the coast of French Indochina during World War
II.
The Wing will stand upright 12' and
have a four panel 4ft. x 5 ft. diamond shaped granite base. Each panel
will be appropriately etched with a description of the monument and the
purpose for which it is intended to serve.
Commemorative black granite plaques
will be set at the base of the Monument to pay tribute to those who
assisted in the construction of the Monument.
Names of supporting organizations
and individuals who wish to make a tax deductable donation will be placed on the wing. |
| The
dedication of this Monument was held on Vererans Day 11/11/2006
Tax deductible contributions
should made out to The Missing Airman Tribute Fund and sent to Lee
Stanley 75 784 Via Allegre Indian Wells CA. 92210 and any questions E
