RETURN

October 2008 Our last breakfast meeting was one to remember. We congratulate Lee Stanley on having run 34 successful meetings and now wish him well as he steps aside and lets someone else takeover running the meetings and he will handle the news letters.

Featured at this meeting was two great speakers. Luftwaffe pilot Hans Busch who gave an amazing insight to growing up in war torn Germany and enduring the discipline of moving up through cadet training and becoming an accomplished fighter and bomber pilot. Then Joe Foster introduced Colonel Ron Byrne who flew 76 missions in Korea flying the F 86 and winning the D.F.C.  In 1964 in Viet Nam he flew the F 105 and was awarded 3 Silver Stars. Shot down in 1965 he spent 7 years as a POW

We had 55 attending the meeting  Here are some pictures of the gathering.
