Major USAF took his aviation Cadet training at Ontario Cal  also trained at Randolph field and Kelly Field Graduating from Cadets as a 2nd Lt. pilot in May 1941. After an assignment with the 57th pursuit group he wet oversea in 1943 with the 325th Fighter group as operations officer and then became squadron commander 1st fighter command. Then later as a member of the Air Commandos and flew P51s and B25s in Burma. Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
